Global Compliance & Safety Readiness
Grace is designed for families and care teams in different countries. This page explains the global safeguards we use for privacy, GPS/location, children, vulnerable adults, AI, and mobile platforms.
Region-Aware Privacy
Grace records a country, compliance region, and preferred data region so sensitive features can use the right notices and more conservative defaults where local review is needed.
Feature Consent Records
Sensitive features such as GPS, child safety, voice cloning, AI conversation, family access, and international transfers are supported by an audit trail of who agreed, when, and under what authority.
GPS & Child Safety
Location sharing is safety-led, visible, time-bound where possible, and designed so it cannot quietly become always-on tracking. Child safety requires parent or guardian authority and clear explanation.
PWA & Native App Limits
The web app/PWA can request location while supported by the browser. Reliable background tracking on locked phones needs later native iPhone and Android app work plus platform review.
Care & Safeguarding Lens
Grace applies global safeguards through a social work-informed framework: support independence first, use the least intrusive safety response, make sensitive features visible, and escalate only when needed.
Read the full Grace Care & Safeguarding Framework for how this applies to adults, children, vulnerable people, GPS, AI, voice, family access, and reminders.
What This Means for Families
Families should choose the correct country and region in settings, keep emergency contacts current, and use location sharing only for safety, care coordination, or family reassurance.
NOKs and guardians must have consent, legal authority, or a best-interests reason before setting up sensitive features for another person.
Grace is not an emergency service or medical device. In an immediate emergency, call the local emergency number.
